Great Playstation 3 Games That Don't Cost a Fortune
61
When a new game comes out, it is hard to justify the sixty plus dollars retainers expect you to shell out for each hot new release. Heck, even forking over forty dollars for a game seems unreasonable sometimes. As someone who loves to get his time in playing video games, I look for games that are really enjoyable, but won’t cost me an arm and leg to buy. So I present a list of cheaper games for the Playstation 3 that are well worth the price tag. While considering this list I thought of a few important details I look for in my bargain hunting experience: Overall price, amount of content, and the ever important greatness factor. All games here fulfill those requirements.
1. Bioshock 1 and 2- Both these games are instant classic in terms of game play and atmosphere. I can truly say that no game ever gave me the chills like Bioshock 1, though the sequel is a more fun of a game to play. Amazon has the first game selling at around thirteen dollars new, with Bioshock 2 even cheaper, around ten dollars for a new copy (and even less for a used copy) Grab this game and watch the epic story unfold!
2. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood- Though this game was released in November 2010, the price has gone down significantly in that time (around thirty dollars on Amazon, but I’ve seen cheaper prices in stores like GameStop). There is so much to do in this game, and a lot of variety, something that is lacking in the first two games in the Series. From just exploring Renaissance Italy to taking down baddies in elaborate assassination sequences, this game offers tons of content. The single player experience follows the events of the second game, but is easy to pick up if you skipped the earlier entities in the series. One of my big pet peeves when buying older games is the online community is either nonexistent or full of dedicated players that are overwhelming. Brotherhood is new enough so that you will encounter new players along with experts, offering a rice multiplayer experience. There is also addition content you can purchase through the Playstation Network to make the game last even longer.
3. Dragon Age: Origin- This game is a very comprehensive game for RPG gamers. If you love story, this game has it in spades. If you don’t, well, you can just skip over it all and get to slay the Blight. This game has many different editions out; I recommend the Ultimate Edition (around 25 Dollars on Amazon) because it has most of the downloadable content that was put out for the game, including the Awakening expansion pack that was released as a standalone game. This game is overflowing with content to begin with, and with the added DLC in the Ultimate Edition, you can play this game for months, until the sequel drops in price as well.
4. The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena- This is actually two games in one. The criminally overlook classic Escape From Butcher’s Bay is included and updated with the new adventure from Riddick. The games are well made, tension filled adventure games that focus more on stealth than blazing your way through enemies. The games are amazingly put together, as an excellent voice cast and cinematic camerawork immerse you in the harsh setting. There is also a multiplayer mode that is a blast to play. You can find the game for around fifteen dollars on Amazon.com, and is well worth the price of admission.

I'm an xbox fan, so I don't own a PS3, but I still dislike paying so much for games. However, next time I have some cash to burn I might check out these titles!

Thanks for taking time and writing abt these games. I was dying to get my hands on some less costly games to test my PS3 and HDTV. The game that came with my new PS3 did not satisfy me well and after looking on web I found out $60+ titles and it did not feel alright to just buy them. Thanks again, Elfranko.
